IPTA is my 1st CHOICE is a nationwide awareness educational seminar which is organized with the initiative of a group of Concerned UM indian Graduates-CUMIG  this year. Via this educational seminar , we are introducing public and students who just have finished their public examination about the oppurtunities in public universities and governmental academic. At the same time, teachers and non-governmental organizations can get to know more about the oppurtunities found in governmental academic. 

When analyzing the economic conditions in Malaysia, the study shows that Indian youth are most numerous group at the risk of drowning in the education loan. If the circumstances last longer, there are possibilities that the Indian youth might be pushed backward or blacklisted. With that much concern, CUMIG started to organized the IPTA MY 1st CHOICE awareness educational seminar. One of the main objective of this educational seminar is to give Indian students higher quality of education at the cheapest price in governmental academia without they are being burden by the educational loans in future. CUMIG is still doing better in articulating about governmental academia such as Polytechnics, IKBN, ADTECH, JMTI, ILP, STPM, and Teacher’s Training School to Indian students nationwide via this educational seminar.

Thus, Tamil Language Society of University Malaya collaborate with CUMIG organized IPTA MY 1st CHOICE awareness educational seminar on 5th March 2016 at the Faculty of Arts and Science Social and the next day which is 6th March 2016 at Perdana Siswa Complex of University Malaya. Not only those who have passed their examinations with flying colours but students who have any kind of results are invited to the seminar. Complete details to pursue tertiary educations will be explained by the group of undergraduates on that days.

In addition, details regarding Economic Transformation Programme will be briefed to students and parents. This will be more helpful for the students to choose their path in future. When the school teachers attend such seminars, the details which are briefed can reach secondary students who are still in school life but it can enhance their knowledge about the tertiary educations which they will face soon. The secondary school students will be more concerned and fully prepared about their tertiary education and before facing such circumstances.

In this year, 50 more non-governmental organizations collaborate with CUMIG to create awareness among our Indian community regarding the governmental academia and Indian Economy. Beginning from March 4 until the end of month, the seminars will be conducted nationwide and every organizations which collaborated with CUMIG will play crucial role throughout the seminar.

CUMIG’s long-ranged mission is to increase the earning power of our Indian community in Malaysia. For that, the Indian students not only choose correct courses in governmental academia but get high quality of education with cheapest price and without too much of educational loan burden in the future. This initiative of CUMIG must be commendable.
